Community Club Notes
| There is always room
for more members! Since it is a non-profit organization, there are
of course, no salaries, but there is a hugh "pay-off"...deriving a sense
of accomplishment while keeping Lone Rock a socially active, visually
attractive community! Volunteers are always appreciated even if
they only have time to work on a limited number of events or for a
specific cause about which they feel passionate. Consider the
powerful effect if every Lone Rock resident volunteered 10-20 hours a
year! |
Lone Rock
does NOT have a "Chamber of Commerce", ways of which the Community
Club could help the City Council in promoting business and in
presenting our town as an attractive, appealing place to live where
discussed.
Vision and Action will be necessary to assure that good housing will
be available to attract the next generation of good citizens.
To present a neat appearance, any visually substandard structures
should be addressed. Residents should find ways in which Lone
Rock's organizations can best share their resources and talents for
the good of Lone Rock. |
The
Community Club has added more plantings north of the shelter house to
compliment the perennials that were established. This will further
enhance the $6,400 worth of improvements the community club has
invested in, new siding, sofits, eve troughs, landscaping
pavers, benches, interior counter space and storage improvements,
painting of walls and baseboards, light fixtures and accessories.
Community Club members volunteering many hours of labor have saved
much money. By stretching the dollars in this way, members believed
they were able to accomplish even more than they had originally
planned.
Beautification is an on-going process! |
