Memory Park on Maine

 

Grant for Park
 Iowa Network Services (INS) and the Lone Rock Telephone Company have provided grants for the purchase of part of the lumber for the new gazebo to be constructed at the Maine Street/Memory Park.  The covered structure will house a round concrete table with four attached benches, an inviting addition which will be near the south wall of the Chatterbox Cafe.  The landscape design also specifies two additional benches.  It was suggested that name plaques could easily be applied if any area families wish to donate a bench.  The bermed area is to be developed with field rock ledges and various plantings.  Pathways and more shrubbery throughout the park will occur in the future.
